For over a decade, we’ve navigated the dance of being partners — sometimes deeply in love, other times simply maintaining — all while raising our blended family of five and leading businesses that demanded more than we thought we had.
There were seasons when intimacy felt like an afterthought and unspoken tensions took root. Those were the seasons where real transformation occurred. We had to look at our shadows, unlearn patterns we inherited, and discover how conflict can actually be a gateway to deeper intimacy.
We learned the hard way that strong love doesn’t collapse because of a lack of passion. It breaks when conflict goes unresolved, when communication stalls, or when vision isn’t shared.

So we sought help. Through therapy, through retreats, through trial and error. We stacked our relationship with tools most of us are never taught growing up or watching couples around us. Along the way, we discovered something rare: how to fight gently, reconnect quickly, and build rituals that bring us back to us.
David, a real estate entrepreneur and author, helped raise our children while building his businesses. He brings the steadiness of vision and the reality of legacy to this work. Shalece, a real estate investor and business coach scaled her own companies while helping raise the children as well. She brings the lens of rest, clarity, and leadership to relationships. Together, we’ve lived both the ambition and the intimacy — the beautiful and the brutal — and built a partnership that feels like home.
This retreat is the culmination of that journey. It’s the container we wish had existed for us years ago — not just therapy, not crisis intervention, but a space for couples who are already committed and craving more. A space to reignite desire, create clarity, and write a shared legacy, together, for generations to come.
